The aim is to resolve the current peat land problems in a manner that is both viable and responsible in economic, (hydro)technical, landscape and recreational terms.

The proposed solution involves the cultivation of biomass (reed, but possibly also wicker and willow) which has a function both for recreation and for energy production (bio-based economy), thus creating a new and sustainable economic foundation. In short: a new form of agriculture in wet areas. In addition, reed cultivation helps to counter subsidence in peat lands.
