Network Landscape

Cross-references:

The concept

Attractive countryside used to be a by-product of agriculture, but this is decreasingly the case. New ways to develop or maintain desirable countryside must therefore be found. The aim is to find new management concepts that mobilize citizens and businesses who can benefit from attractive countryside.
Network Landscape is a new financing and organizational model comprising the following interconnected components:
a. A land bank (to manage the allocation of available land);
b. A fund for organizing citizen-based support and funding;
c. A fund for organizing business-based support and funding.
The organization seeks to connect public values (e.g. landscape quality) with private val-ues (e.g. attractive residential environment and sustainable enterprise).
